Hiking: Eboshidake・烏帽子岳

Eboshidake and Sampukutoge were probably my favourite places to hike to in 2019. I wish I’d known about them earlier in the year but that’s OK. Now that I do it’ll be good to head back there in 2020, hopefully for a traverse of the Minami Alps.

One thing I’ve realised this year is that I wish I’d started hiking twenty or so years ago and mixed things up instead of concentrating completely on cycling.

Hanging around Eboshidake after sunrise and one of the best views of Mt. Fuji I’ve ever had.
The first photo is looking out towards the Chuo Alps.

Cycled since I was a kid, moved to Japan in 2001, bought my first 'serious' camera in 2005. Spent the later half of the 1990s travelling in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Nepal, Japan, and the Philippines and wish I'd photographed a lot more back then.
