Some Distant Memory – Siem Reap Fishermen
It was 2012. I’d just bought a used Leica M6 and was in Cambodia, a place I’d dreamt of visiting for years. I was intrigued by the work and stories of Philip Blenkinsop and Daniel Milnor at the time regarding Cambodia and South East Asia and going there with a film camera loaded with Ilford Delta 3200 film felt right.

Some Distant Memory – Phnom Penh Market – Family Back Home
Phnom Penh was a fascinating place. I promised myself I’d return but ten years have passed since I said that and I’m no nearer returning today. With changing responsibilities and a different world in 2022 I have no idea if I’ll ever keep my promise.

Photography: Light Leaks
I retired my last Holga after the summer trip to Cambodia. It’s a wonderful camera but the light leaks started getting out of control as you can see from the colour shot from Cambodia below. But I’ve been itching to buy a new one recently and now would be a good time. Nagoya, Japan Siem […]

Cambodia & Photography: Film
It was roughly this time last year when I decided to sell all my digital gear and switch to film. I wanted to get back to basics, simplify things, and start again from scratch (or thereabouts). Cambodia & Photography: More Cambodia
I’m still going through the images I shot in Cambodia. I’ve had about 40 small prints hanging on my wall for the last two months and I’m prepared to let the images grow on me. Or not. It was pretty stormy this morning and a few fell off due to to the wind but I’m […]

Cambodia & Photography: Phnom Penh
I lied in a previous post when I said I only shoot black and white occasionally. 前回、白黒の写真が為にしか撮っていないということここでを載せましたが完全に嘘でした。

Photography & Cambodia: Gambling in Phnom Penh
OK. I’ve posted one of these already, and one looks very similar to another one I’ve posted. But if I could sum up my very limited knowledge of the kick boxing/gambling scene in Phnom Penh it would be these three images. I need to go back and reshoot.
