India: Allahabad
There are over 30 rolls of Portra still in the fridge to develop but in the meantime here are a few slide shots. I’m still learning about film and of all the films slide film’s learning curve seems to be the steepest. For that reason I only took 4 rolls with me to India. Here […]

India: How to almost miss out on an Indian Visa
I feel numb and am struggling to think straight. I’ve had this trip in my sites for around two years now, especially the Kumbh Mela, and we (my wife and I) fly tomorrow at 4 p.m. But lets go back to mid-December for a minute where I realised it was time to start the visa […]

Photography & Travel: India
I’m going to India again this weekend for two weeks. Old Delhi, Khajuraho, and then Allahabad to the Kumbha Mela – the worlds biggest festival and largest gathering of humanity on the planet at one time. 110 million over the whole festival and 40 million on one particular day. Photography: Light Leaks
I retired my last Holga after the summer trip to Cambodia. It’s a wonderful camera but the light leaks started getting out of control as you can see from the colour shot from Cambodia below. But I’ve been itching to buy a new one recently and now would be a good time. Nagoya, Japan Siem […]

India: Train Station Bench
I’d love to go back and spend a whole day, or even longer, just photographing this bench. The old guy and the student had a chat for quite a while and seemed to know each other. いつかこのベンチに戻って、少なくても一日中写真を撮ってみたい。おじいちゃんと大学生が結構お喋りしてたけど、知り合いかどうかを分かりません。

Photography & Travel: India 1996
I went through some old negatives from my first ever trip to India back in 1996 and came across these. One of my biggest regrets is not taking more photos on that trip. I fooled myself into believing that film was too expensive, but now 16 years later I’ve realized that was a mistake. 1996年にインドに初めてインドに行った時のネガを久しぶりに見ました。その時にもっと写真を撮らなかったことが今も後悔しています。フィルムの値段が高すぎてと思ったけど、今16年後、その考え方は違ったと気付きました。
