Now

This is my now page. Updated December 7th, 2021. Things I’m doing right now.

Living

  • Living in Kasugai, central Japan, just outside Nagoya.

Doing

  • Just added a Walking/Hiking Route map to this website. You can find it here.
  • Looking after my daughter full time. She’s two now and needs attention, attention, attention. It’s hard work but the most rewarding thing I’ve done with my life so far.
  • Making contact sheets of most of my photos taken since 1995. I don’t trust digital/the cloud to keep my memories safe.
  • Walking the Nakasendō and Kiso-ji ancient trade routes in central Japan, and to a much lesser extent the Tōkaidō and Ise-ji as well.
  • Staying as fit as possible. My fitness has declined as my responsibility towards my daughter has increased. But I still run, cycle, hike, or walk most days.
  • Running our private English school with my wife.

Postponed

  • During non-pandemic times I run an Australian homestay program for Japanese school children on the Gold Coast.
  • Winter trips to Hokkaido.
