It’s been a while since I shot a roll of film on my Leica. It was browsing through the wonderful book of photographs of travels throughout Asia in the 1990s (and 1980s?) called Asia Grace by Kevin Kelly and John Sypal’s Zuisha (随写) that did it.
My over whelming first impressions of Himakajima. 日間賀島の第一印象 Lomography 400 film (not sure I want to use it again)
It’s always been difficult to combine cycling and photography, my two favorite hobbies. Mainly because I hated carrying a camera with me but also because if I DID take one with me the urge to keep cycling overrode any desire to capture a certain scene. But that’s all changed now that I can easily fit my iPhone in my jersey pocket. Cycling is the Japanese countryside is hard to beat.
